Magnesium Prevents Diabetes

Low magnesium hinders the secretion of insulin in the pancreas and develops insulin resistance in the body’s tissues. Have too little magnesium puts people more at risk of getting type 2 diabetes. Type 2 Diabetes – starts when the cells in the body fail to react to insulin. It used to be called adult-onset or non-insulin-dependent diabetes. The body is no longer able to use insulin the way it should. This insulin resistance can worsen until the pancreas makes less and less insulin. There is then an insulin deficiency. The patient does not get low blood sugar, but this disease can be reversed and prevented. Stick to a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet. Exercise and fresh healthy foods are the answer.

Type 1 Diabetes – usually genetic or inherited, it is caused by a pancreas that cannot secrete any insulin. It used to be called juvenile-onset or insulin-dependent diabetes. The body attacks its own cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. This eventually destroys the insulin in the body. Now the cells can no longer absorb sugar or glucose which they need to make energy. Blood sugar levels become unstable.  The patient has to inject insulin manually every day for the rest of his/her life. It is a good idea to start a fresh, raw food diet free from preservatives, meat and sugar. Plenty of exercise is vital for holistic health.

Anyone, anywhere, at any age can get diabetes. Being overweight and having a family history of diabetes increase the risk. Take magnesium every day and ensure a diet rich in magnesium-rich foods.
